The role of the Business Analyst is to provide operational reporting and data insight to the products they support and to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to introduce and implement new capabilities throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting

Develops and implements a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data query tools and PowerBI
Visualizes, interprets, and reports data findings to assist management with decision making and other managerial functions
Collates data from various IT systems to develop decision support service such as dynamic data reports
Applies data modeling techniques to extract information from large databases
Work closely with senior management to define new analysis/reporting initiatives
Prepares established regular reports accurately and timely
Seeks out opportunities for enhanced workflow processes and automation in all areas of responsibility
Becomes proficient with needed systems including internal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Upholds Outdoor Cap's values of acting with integrity; working together as a team; treating each other with respect.

Transformation

Plans and leads the implementation of enhancements to current products within the product lifecycle
Collaborates with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure a unified approach to transformation
Identifies and escalates risks and issues while creating corresponding mitigation plans.
Leads all cross functional program activities and meetings to ensure alignment with all stakeholders, key decisions are being made, and deliverable are completed on time.
Recognizes new opportunities and develop innovative solutions to create operational efficiency within the different functional areas across the organization.
Reviews business requirements to ensure alignment with the product objectives.

Skills and Competencies

Demonstrated proficiency in the following systems:
1. MS Office products (Word, advanced Excel including its analytic applications)
2. Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI.
3. Scheduling and sharing tools (i.e. SharePoint and Outlook)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder engagement skills.
Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to operate in fast paced environment; highly motivated, strong work ethic with demonstrated flexibility to meet tight deadlines
Strong leadership, project management, problem solving and business acumen skills. Can function well independently or in a team-based environment

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or Operations from an accredited university or institution, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree in Business Admin (emphasis in Operations/Supply Chain) is preferred.
1-5years of relevant analyst experience required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit at a computer as well as stand and/or walk as needed throughout the day. May occasionally reach, bend and move inside the facility and office areas.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks, and expansive analysis and reading.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds infrequently
