ABOUT THE POSITION
The Kindergarten Teacher will be needed for the school year.

Job duties and responsibilities including but not limited to the following:


CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide academic instruction aligned to Arizona State Standards

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the grade level that includes different learning styles, abilities, and interests in accordance with state standards.
  • Utilize school adopted systems of practice for curriculum, instruction, and assessment including, but not limited to: Beyond Textbooks, Spalding, data submission, and testing protocols.
  • Prior knowledge of Spalding, and Beyond Textbooks, and data driven instruction a plus.
  • Assess student progress towards learning targets, objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and administration.
  • Use available technology to enhance student learning.
  • Communicate learning goals to students and parents or guardians in a wellplanned and organized manner.
  • Use school and state assessment data to inform instruction.
  • Establish classroom routines and procedures in a positive manner conducive to effective instruction.
  • Effectively implement student goals outlined in 504 Plans and IEPs.
  • Participate in grade level and/or school wide professional learning activities.
  • Document and proactively attempt to resolve issues related to student behavior and/or attendance.
  • Reflect continually on teaching and professional practice.
  • Supervise classroom and/or other students in the school in adherence with state laws.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by the school and law.
  • Participate in schoolwide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Positions in this classification typically require: kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Employees must be able to physically manage a classroom with small children ensuring the safety of the children at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Previous teaching experience in a school environment
  • Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Arizona Teaching Certification; or reciprocal OutofState Certification
