Join our team at Brockton Hospital and be better and stronger than ever.The Operating Room at Brockton Hospital is a crucial unit that spans patient care from Pediatrics to Geriatrics.
Our 6 OR rooms facilitate an annual average of 5,800 procedures across twelve service lines, including General, Ortho, and ENT.
With a focus on same-day surgery options, particularly for our busy Orthopedics service line, our OR nurses play vital roles in pre-op duties and intra-operative nursing care.
The array of skills and conditions treated encompasses Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Ortho, Plastic, Podiatry, General, Thoracic, Urology, and Vascular procedures, making our Operating Room a dynamic and essential component of patient care.
Under the direction of the Surgical Services Operations Coordinator, responsible for the booking surgical procedures for the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Works with Patient Registration to ensures accurate billing and reimbursement.Role includes but is not limited to assisting with patient pre-registration, demographic and physician verification, insurance verification, payor notification, pre-certification, authorization and chart creation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school education in business or healthcare preferred.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/
APTITUDE AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires an in-depth knowledge of payor requirements as they relate to elective inpatient and same day surgeries. Requires a working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Accurate typing and working familiarity with CRT and PC applications. Meditech experience preferred
