We are looking for a Payroll Product Owner.

The Payroll Product Owner's goal is to oversee the maintenance and development of the Entertainment Partner's internal payroll system adhering to regulation requirements with ever changing priorities and timelines.

This role acts as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, understands the problem, gathers requirements, identifies key data in the process, and assists in providing a solution to the users.

In addition, the payroll product owner will set priorities for the team and ensure these are aligned to the product roadmap and enterprise goals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own feature delivery of roadmap items, enhancements, and bug fixes, with primary focus on the legacy payroll system as well as API solutions
  • Ensure that the payroll system stays uptodate to changes in US payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement legislative changes into the payroll product and processes.
  • Create and prioritize clearly defined user stories. Manage product backlog and align priority with product roadmap and enterprise goals.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and define business needs. Communicate and set clear expectations on deliverables and timeline.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories and provide good end to end business understanding to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with the development team, architects, data engineers, API developers, other product owners towards a solution which can include a mix of old and new technologies.
  • Create, review, and maintain product documentation (e.g. release notes, training materials) Contribute to the future growth strategy related to the legacy payroll system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in product development as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or equivalent experience working as a user with business and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of US payroll process and legislation/regulations.
  • Familiarity of software development, database storage, and relevant web technologies.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and Jira story writing.
  • Experience in developing roadmaps, priorities, features, user stories, and coordinating requirements with variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and collaboration skills.
  • Highly analytical, detailed oriented, and ultraorganized.
  • Ability to research and analyze requests and requirements using available tools and documentation including using SQL to assist in the analysis.

The salary range for this position is $93,700 to $107,800 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
