- Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate technologies
- Configure systems to optimize performance and efficiency
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructures including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization
- Configure and manage client systems according to best practices
- Monitor performance, security, and reliability, addressing issues proactively
- Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud environments
- Perform regular maintenance, monitor performance and security, and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with the team, escalate complex issues, and ensure their resolution
- Respond to client inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, perform system upgrades, and resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security best practices and configure firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (eg, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Provide exceptional service, strategic guidance, and recommendations
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Configure backup systems, perform regular backups, and test disaster recovery plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of client systems
- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and relevant metrics
- Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Plan and coordinate activities, manage timelines and resources, and communicate updates
- Stay current on technologies and industry trends
- Obtain certifications, attend training sessions or conferences, and participate in online forums
- 3-8 years of experience working for a Managed Service Provider
- Must be well-rounded in various technical areas with the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges in the constantly evolving field of IT
- Must have a proven track record in IT engineering and possess strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
