    • Initial pay rate of $20.92 per hour
    • Competitive and inclusive benefits packages offered to employees scheduled for 30 hours or more weekly

    Responsibilities during a typical workday:

    • Efficiently handle, sort, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized cargo
    • Utilize suitable motorized and manual equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling
    • Safely secure cargo in trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
    • Operate in a safe and effective manner, adhering to company safety protocols
    • Utilize mobile handheld devices for scanning and tracking shipments
    • Work on a dock without climate control for extended periods

    Qualifications for success at XPO:

    Minimum requirements include:

    • Minimum age of 18 years
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, to accommodate fluctuating freight volumes

    Preferred qualifications also include:

    • Experience in dock/warehouse operations within the transportation sector
    • Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
    • Prior experience with trailer loading and unloading
    • Drive for success with keen attention to detail

    This role necessitates the ability to:

    • Lift and handle freight and other objects of different shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. regularly and over 70 lbs. occasionally)
    • Manage sorting, handling, loading, and unloading of palletized and non-palletized cargo using suitable equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling
    • Walk and stand safely for extended periods on a loading dock without climate control, possibly slippery
    • Perform reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling as needed
