CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Travel:
Travel throughout the County and State may be required.

At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of liability insurance must be produced and maintained throughout employment.

Background: Applicants must pass a background investigation, including DOJ/FBI clearance, credit check, physical examination and drug test, prior to appointment.

Work Assignment: Applicants must be willing to accept assignment, as needed, to any of the DCSS offices, which are located in Loma Linda, Victorville, Ontario, and Child Support Court in San Bernardino


Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifying options:

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

OPTION 1:


  • Three (3) years of
    Child Support Specialist experience in a county agency overseen by a State Department of Child Support Services

NOTE:

Child Support Specialist Trainee experience is
not
considered qualifying.
Option - Experience Substitution**:


OPTION 2:


  • No Education
  • Four (4) years of
    Child Support Specialist II (lead Child Support position)
    experience in a county agency overseen by a State Department of Child Support Services.**_

IMPORTANT NOTE:


_**_ _Qualifying degrees or coursework_ must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

_Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S.

must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation_ service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
