JOB SUMMARY:

Provide friendly, efficient service, anticipating our guests' needs to create an exceptional dining experience for all. Each server's primary objective is to exceed our guests' expectations so they want to return.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

Ensure consistent, quality plate presentations for all menu items coming from the kitchen and present to guests. Support the servers in timely delivery of meals to guests.

  • Deliver food items from kitchen to table with accuracy.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external guests.
  • Assist servers throughout the guest experience.
  • Ensure that all the side work assigned is accomplished in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Maintain professional communication with the guest, while acting as a liaison between kitchen and guest to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Describe all menu items with detail and preparation methods.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Able to work as a team in an efficient, professional and guestrelated manner.
  • Assist in cleaning tables or counters after guests have finished dining as needed.
  • Assist in stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware and linens
  • Explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Know and comply with state liquor laws, obtain RAMP certification.
  • Attend all scheduled team member meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow team members to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
  • Fillin for fellow team members where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:
High school education or equivalent experience.


Experience:
Three - Six months in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.


Skills and Abilities:

Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.

Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.

Able to read, speak and understand English. Able to lift, push, carry 20-40 lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time. Communicate information such as restaurant and food information to management, team members and guests.
