Job Summary:

You will report to the Costuming Manager.


The pay rate for this role in Florida is $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:
Costuming Cast Members will pre-set and strike entertainment costuming across the property. You will perform show and safety checks as well as deliver costumes and set up lines for new offerings.

  • Peak: May through December (7 months)
  • Seasonal Cast Members will be required to work a minimum of 150 hours worked during this period
  • It is expected each Seasonal Cast Member work a minimum of 6 shifts per month
  • Shifts may be at varying hours and locations across the Costuming department

You will also:

  • Preset and strike Entertainment costumes
  • Dress shows and parades, including performers in various stages of dress/undress
  • Launder costumes and restock lines/drawers
  • Complete show quality and safety checks
  • Deliver costumes to various locations across Walt Disney World property
  • Perform basic inventory reconciliation and write up repairs for soft and hard goods
  • Packing boxes and road cases
  • Assist with quick costume changes potentially in confined spaces
  • Assist dress performers including usage of technology components

Basic Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A valid Driver's License as you may be required to drive company vehicles
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling
  • Be able to work with and around costumes made of synthetic materials (fur, latex, Mylar, etc.)
  • Work outside in various weather conditions or extreme temperatures
  • Work in venues with theatrical special effects (e.g. fog, strobe lights, etc.), lowlight levels, and willing to work at various heights
  • Push or pull up to 46 lbs.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Team lift with 2 Cast Members a maximum of 85 lbs.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY**Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.

Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
