Maxima Therapy is looking for full-time or part-time, creative and committed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants.


The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients' homes and/or daycares.


We offer competitive rates starting from $55 per hour and an excellent benefits package for eligible employees which includes:

medical insurance, 401K, sick time, paid vacation, and a flexible schedule. All of our Clients are located in San Fernando Valley, CA.


PTA Duties:


  • 1:1 treatment in clients' homes or daycare settings
  • Provide parent education and support
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Take/submit progress notes as required

PTA Minimum Requirements:


  • California PTA license
  • Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
  • Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
  • Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; teamoriented
  • Previous pediatric treatment experience preferred
  • Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:


  • Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is childsized
  • Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
  • Sudden and quick movements may be required
  • Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
  • Reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
