    Description

    Summary



    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Clinical Psychologist (Health Psychologist Consultant) delivering consultative services to patients as part of the primary care team within the Mid Atlantic Service Unit. This position is located at the Monacan Health Center in Madison Heights, VA.



    Duties

    • Provides a full range of professional therapeutic techniques in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnosis of patients with a range of mental health issues.
    • Provide therapeutic services based on comprehensive treatment plans that outline the therapeutic goals, methods, and modality to meet the individualized treatment needs of each patient.
    • Provide scheduled behavioral/mental health emergency services and crisis intervention.
    • Conduct psychological testing and comprehensive psychological assessments of referred patient to guide diagnosis, treatment planning, evaluations and clinical services.
    • Conduct individual and group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, service unit and community training, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
    • Provides case management and coordination of care with patients medical provider, care team, and other internal and/or external providers.
    • Other duties as assigned.
