The Senior Accounts Clerk is responsible for sales tax reporting, accounts payable activities, customer and vendor maintenance, and will provide support for the corporate accounting group.

This position will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller and in addition, will take direction and work closely with other corporate accounting team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform various Accounts Payable duties
• Vendor account set-up and maintenance
• Process vendor invoices in ERP software
• Input inter-company invoices.
• Book cash-flow entries throughout the month.
• Remote deposit customer checks received in PO box & make corresponding cash-flow entry o Book entries related to checks received in the lockbox and entries for all credit card receipts.
• Perform Invoicing & Accounts Receivable duties.
• Maintain customer physical files and account ledgers within ERP software.
• Facilitate customer invoicing.
• Reconcile, verify, and prepare monthly sales and use tax data for returns processing o Maintain and update sales tax rates within multiple systems.
• Prepare journal entries related to tax as a part of month end close.
• Sales tax compliance research.
• Ad-Hoc projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelors' Degree; or 2-4 years in an accountant role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of general accounting, ad valorem tax knowledge is a plus
• Strong computer skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
• Willingness to learn
