***: This position will work on a broad range of events from major concerts to local events and programming for the facility which are integral to the success of all these events. Activities associated with the job include assisting co-workers, other facility departments and volunteers with executing special events. This position will also assist show/event organizers at Holland Civic Center Place in successfully executing events.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Direct alignment with the Holland Civic Center Place Mission Statement and Core Values
  • Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with maintaining and controlling inventory of supplies and/or equipment used for events
  • Procuring equipment and supplies needed by recommending and ordering
  • Provide postevent evaluation for all events to identify opportunities for improvement of future events
  • Coordinate services for audiovisual equipment
  • Assist with alcohol and bar technology equipment across all applicable events
  • Monitor system performance and perform or coordinate necessary maintenance
  • Assist and train eventday operators with technical operations of AV systems
  • Keep accurate documentation on system design and changes
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet their needs in the variety of spaces at the park
  • Provide support for major and private events
  • Develop event day AV operating plans and checklists
  • Implement maintenance strategies, troubleshooting procedures and protocols
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by Management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Knowledge of event logistics including crowd flow, event layouts, electrical, lighting & sound system requirements, movein and moveout of equipment, staging, etc.
  • 35 years' experience managing, designing, and operating large venue AV systems
  • Experience in scheduling software and spreadsheets
  • Awareness of and interest in latest broadcast video and display technologies
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, multitask, and collaborate
  • High degree of personal integrity, workload prioritization and exceptional problemsolving skills
  • Basic understanding of IP infrastructure
  • Display professionalism regarding working with entities from internal departments, service providers, and show personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Team player mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Outlook Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Possess current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
