Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the upkeep and repair of plant/ production equipment and the performing of preventive/predictive maintenance as required, preventing unnecessary downtime.

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

Responsible for mechanical repair of Plant/ Production equipment
Perform preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and install replacement parts as necessary
Repair leaks on machinery
Install, maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, piping, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Assure that all aspects of work conform to Company safety practices
Assist assigned operator in try-out of equipment upon completion of servicing.

Qualifications:

Ability to interpret hydraulic and/or pneumatic diagrams
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints
Ability to read and diagnosis complex electrical circuits
Ability to read and troubleshoot complex Ladder Logic Programming
Ability to read and comprehend Electrical/Mechanical/Pneumatic/Hydraulic Schematics.
Robotics, Ability to troubleshoot/program/repair
Very Familiar with PLC's troubleshooting/programming/networking (Omron Preferably)
Ability to use various types of electrical Test Equipment. (DVM,MEG-Meters-,Amp Meters, Thermography Systems, Vibration Analysis Systems)

Technical Competencies:

2 year technical degree preferred, but comparable experience in Mechanical field will be accepted, based on amount and quality of training and skill sets.
