    Summary

    SUMMER is almost upon us and we are looking to hire a few more staff members for our Camp Lotta-Fun program. This is a great opportunity for college students in the field of education. Gain valuable classroom experience lesson planning, collaborating with co-teachers, working with children and learning classroom management skills. Full time and part-time positions. Please go to the Wee Know School website for an application and additional information regarding our summer program.

    Duties
    • Interact with children on a one on one and group basis
    • Set-up and maintain a clean, welcoming and inviting classroom
    • Plan developmentally appropriate activities
    • Develop weekly lesson plans that include art, science, math, literacy, music and movement, and outdoor activities
    • Work as a teaching team with lead teacher directing as needed
    • Engage children in small and large group activities and encourage independent skills
    • Provide comfort, encouragement and support to all children
    • Post daily adventures on classroom Facebook Group Page for parents
    • Attend weekly field trips to various activities
    Requirements
    • Depending on position: Associates Degree, college coursework in the field of education
    • A strong understanding of child development
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
    • Class management skills
    • Experience in writing lesson plans (depending on position)
    • Ability to implement school resources to benefit children's development
    • Ability to be flexible and able to adjust program plan to best benefit children
    • Ability to communicate with other staff, parents, and children in a positive manner
    • Ability to relate to children with joy, compassions, sensitivity and encouragement
    • Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
    • Evidence of good judgement
    • Physical stamina to perform duties
    • Must clear full background check fingerprinting required by the State of WI

    • Previous experience working in a team teaching setting

    Benefits

    Summer only -
    • Full time employees (32+ hrs/wk) receive holiday pay
    • Monthly bonus from State of WI Child Care Counts program based on scheduled hours
    • Payroll every two weeks
