The Technical Consultant reporting to the Professional Services leader, the Technical Consultant will operate in a collaborative, team-focused environment, ensuring adherence to our strict quality control and program delivery methodology.
- The role requires project management ability coupled with technical knowledge which encompasses development, database administration, and network engineering. This role is customerfacing and demands a comprehensive understanding of the Control Center software platform and the infrastructures it will interact with. Additionally, a detailed comprehension of the subsystem edge devices utilized by both our enduser and reseller partners customer is essential.
What you'll do;:
- Develop an extensive working knowledge of the Control Center solution and capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and become an authority in all aspects of the design, build, integration, test, quality control (QC), commission, and deployment of Control Centerbased solutions.
- Provide realistic project estimates following CONTROL CENTER project methodologies.
- Create detailed design documentation for customer submission, review, and approval.
- Possess an indepth knowledge of the setup, configuration, and operation of 3rd party subsystem edge devices (closedcircuit television (CCTV)/Access Control/Intruder Alarm, etc.) and their integration with Control Center software solutions.
- Produce detailed functional and operational customer requirements specifications based on site visits, requests for information (RFI), (RFP), and other commercial and technical documentation.
- Conduct indepth product and solution demonstrations when required.
What you'll bring;:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or softwarerelated technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years related experience
- Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills; including interpreting written requirements and technical specification documents.
- Proven experience managing and completing up to 10 projects related to technical deployments in the security industry.
- Demonstrable experience configuring personal computers (PCs), and servers and troubleshooting the Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
- Strong knowledge of database architectures and methodologies; ideally Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to manipulate data effectively and efficiently using SQL objectoriented (OO) Concepts and rationale.
- Strong knowledge of the latest Windows Server and Desktop versions.
- Handson experience in networking principles and the Internet Protocol (IP).
- Experience working with virtual machine (VM) environments and Microsoft Clustering.
- Ability to obtain relevant security clearance for working on classified projects.
- Experience in the Security industry (Desirable)
