Bisson Moving & Storage has been in business, in Maine, over 100 years and is experiencing rapid growth. Bisson is currently looking for an Office Assistant to assist in our Final Mile/Home Delivery Service in Scarborough Exciting opportunity to join our team now

***: Coordinate delivery of items for Bisson customers. Track all jobs and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and provided to all parties. Responsible for assuring customer is highly satisfied with their delivery of items. Interact with customers and vendors to provide information in response to inquiries in a timely manner.


JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoot customer issues, offer solutions, and solve problems
  • Contact customers for necessary information for scheduled delivery.
  • Set up and supply all necessary paperwork to Last Mile dispatch coordinator, Last Mile Drivers and Accounting.
  • Assist in scheduling warehouse deliveries and pick ups
  • Ability to coordinate multistop deliveries in various locations including towns and states.
  • Accuracy on all deliveries is essential.
  • Interface with warehouse staff on incoming and outgoing delivery of items.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with Last Mile/NSD team, warehouse staff, the public, and management.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's concern; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain customer records and financial accounts by processing customer adjustments and updating account information.
  • Ability to accurately complete word processing, filing, and fax transmittals.
  • Responsible for accurately keeping track of daily revenue.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service required.
  • Experience with multiline telephones, computers, and simple office equipment.
  • Pleasant telephone voice/manner.
  • Experience with Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, DocuSign, Excel, and Adobe.
  • The ability to quickly learn additional job tracking software.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced office environment with extreme accuracy.
  • Ability to have close visual acuity to determine the accuracy of work performed and for constant viewing of a computer terminal.
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to details.
  • Basic math ability
  • Experience in a general office setting to include word processing, filing, scanning, and making fax transmittals
  • Experience with multiline telephones, computers, and use of simple office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced office environment with extreme accuracy.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.
