Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration: Welcome patients to the clinic and assist them with the registration process. Collect and verify patient information accurately and efficiently. Ensure all necessary forms are completed and filed appropriately.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointments for patients, ensuring that scheduling is optimized to maximize clinic efficiency. Communicate appointment details clearly to patients and follow up on appointment confirmations.
- Billing and Payments: Process patient payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Verify insurance information when applicable. Assist patients with billing inquiries and provide guidance on available payment options. Assist with claims management as needed.
- Maintaining Records: Maintain accurate patient records and files in compliance with privacy regulations. Ensure that all documentation is organized and uptodate. Assist with data entry and recordkeeping tasks as required.
- Office Support: Assist with various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the clinic. This may include ordering office supplies, managing inventory, and assisting with light cleaning duties.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients, helping them navigate the healthcare system and connecting them with resources as needed. Demonstrate empathy and compassion in all interactions with patients.
- Collaboration: Assist other staff as needed to accomplish the goals of the Clinic.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
- Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment.
