Description
We are looking for an experienced part-time Human Resources professional to join our growing team.


A particular focus will be on promoting and improving our ever-growing company culture of both high performance and genuine care for the employees.


Our production team works four-10 hour days (Monday through Thursday) and the preference would be to have our HR team member available two or three of those days.


Responsibilities:


  • Regular communication with CEO, Director of Operations and CFO.
  • Regularly communicate with all production employees and to help celebrate accomplishments and provide feedback.
  • Work with CFO to develop key metrics and KPI's to regularly monitor performance of the HR department.
  • Interact with production leadership to ensure that department is fully staffed and that upgrades are made, where appropriate.
  • Champion of the culture; continue to help the executive team make this a great place to work for everyone in the organization.
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.
  • Regularly run and process the company's weekly payroll.
  • Onboarding new employees:
  • Orientations
  • Insurance
  • Benefits Overviews
  • Regularly answer insurance, benefits and payroll questions from employees.
  • Track attendance; identify need for and help lead disciplinary actions, if needed.
  • Track and assign "milestone" events to managers such as 90 day and annual reviews.
  • Work with production leadership to find ways to reduce absenteeism.
  • Work with CEO & CFO to find creative new solutions for health insurance and benefits options.
  • Establish a consistent framework for all role descriptions, requirements and expectations. Help the management team create formal documentation of all roles.
  • Maintain, edit and create (as needed) procedures for all processes that impact or engage employees such as HR, payroll, vacation or other policies.
Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources professional in a manufacturing environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of relevant rules / regulations including OHSA, payroll, Health Insurance and other benefits plans including 401k.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work with others, coach, encourage and sometimes demand everyone's best performance.
  • Payroll experience.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity a plus, but not required.
  • Outgoing, peopleoriented, persuasive, enthusiastic.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to keep things organized and running on time.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
