JOB SUMMARY


Verify compliance of products and documentation based on Customer and/or In-House requirements defined in the drawings, purchase orders, and planning documents.

Perform Receiving Inspection, First Articles, Fit Check, Function Checks, Proof load Testing, Final buyoffs when requested. Check for complete verification and compliance with all contracts and prepare the required documentation upon completion and file appropriately.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all documents received match PO requirements.
  • Inspect parts to agreed inspection and sampling plans; and that only calibrated gages are used.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and weld inspections.
  • Complete transaction in Global Shop when required.
  • Perform Proof load Testing when required.
  • Perform all Fit and Function Test checks when required.
  • Perform final verification of all final assemblies and prepare the necessary documentation.
  • Review and prepare documentation such as NCR's when required; will include proper identification and transactions in Global Shop.
  • Maintain all product identification, traceability and status.
  • Provide feedback to management on opportunities to make the inspection process more efficient.
  • Other given assigned duties as assigned by management.
  • Support 6s by keeping the area clean always and clutter free to prevent accidental injuries/accidents

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and understand blueprint and have a basic knowledge of GD&T.
  • Ability to read and use all inspection tools such as, tape measure, calipers, micrometers, height gages and other common inspection equipment and tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple inspection tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all departments.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, Excel, Word, etc

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS


While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
