    The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and its clinical partner UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, seek exceptional board eligible or board-certified Pediatric Neurologist

    The University of Massachusetts Medical School is consistently ranked one of the top ten primary care teaching programs nationally and is committed to major expansions in many areas of basic and clinical research as well as valuing promotion of clinical excellence. The UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, a member of the Children's Hospital Association, is the only tertiary care hospital for children in central MA and offers comprehensive Pediatric services. The Division of Pediatric Neurology provides:

    1. The only medical facility in Central Massachusetts with physicians who have special training in pediatric epilepsy and electroencephalography (EEG).
    2. Programs for cerebral palsy and myelodysplasia
    3. State-of-the-art neuroimaging and neurophysiology services such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), ambulatory electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring, inpatient EEG video telemetry, evoked potentials
    4. Neuropsychology program for assessment of cognitive, academic and behavioral/emotional functioning that are caused by neurology disorders, general medical conditions or developmental disabilities
    5. Consultation in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    6. Sleep studies to assist in the relief of symptoms associated with sleep disorders

    Our team works with the Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders (CANDO) to provide autism services. Our Pediatric Neurology faculty:

    1. Enjoy the opportunity to participate in population health for a large catchment area with a varied pathology
    2. Practice general Pediatric Neurology or focus their practice on growing and developing a niche/subspecialty area of interest
    3. Work with Pediatric, Adult Neurology, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residents and enjoy extensive collaborative research opportunities in this stimulating and collegial academic environment
