Duties:


  • Serve as an expert and provides advice, guidance and assistance to Project/Product Manager (PM) concerning the acquisition planning and contractual/procurement aspects of highly complex major weapon systems.
  • Analyze, evaluate and review proposed and ongoing procurements for highly complex, high monetary value, long term acquisitions for nonMDAP and major weapon systems/programs.
  • Advise the PM on the preparation of Source Selection Evaluation Plans, evaluation criteria and weighing methodologies.
  • Participates in the development of longrange acquisition plans and acquisition strategy, method of solicitation, most suitable type of contract, projected lead time.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Oneyear probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Foundational in the Acquisition Career Contracting Field within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience is defined as:
(1) Monitoring contract activities to verify clauses or terms are in compliance with contractual agreement, (2) Performing as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to monitor the cost allocation or performance of contract agreements, and (3) Recommending procurement initiatives based on budget limitations and terms of negotiations of a contract.

  • This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH02 (GS11)

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
