Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Power Electronic Electrical Engineer for the development and ongoing support of new and existing electrical designs used in surface ship and submarine propulsion and power generation systems for the US Navy based out of Sunnyvale, CA. The Power Electronics group is seeking a Principal Power Electronic Electrical Engineer with knowledge of and experience with applications, modeling, and analysis of control systems. The candidate should also be familiar with hardware and software implementations of control systems and their associated challenges in relation to large rotating electrical machines. In that vein experience in facets of rotor/structural dynamics, analysis thereof, and correlation to control theory is highly desired.
Basic Qualifications:
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
