Job Description:


Technical model makers in the field of foundry are primarily employed in the foundry industry, automotive industry, and specialized model making companies.

At our company, they are responsible for the production, modification, and maintenance of model equipment and core boxes.

Duration of training: 3.5 years


Technical model makers are trained at both the training company and vocational school as part of the dual education system.

The technical model makers attend block classes in Neustadt a. d. Aisch. Under certain conditions, the training period can be shortened.


Responsibilities:

  • Producing, modifying, and maintaining models, model equipment, core boxes, templates, and gauges
  • Creating planning documents based on model drawings
  • Manufacturing model parts from various materials (wood, plastic, metal) through manual and machine cutting as well as handwork
  • Assembling model parts into functional models and model equipment

Soft Skills:

  • Development of social, personal, and methodological skills through training on topics such as values, personality, communication, and personal goal setting
  • Participation in apprentice projects

  • Qualification opportunities: Participation in courses on new manufacturing, design, and simulation techniques
  • Career advancement opportunities (after gaining relevant work experience): Foreman, master craftsman, technician, or engineer.
