- Supports customers by responding to rental, general inquiries, and customer feedback.
- Prepares the location for customers and maintains work areas ensuring that rental items are clean, functioning, and in safe working condition prior to giving them to customers and repairs are made to equipment as needed.
- Works with management, Activity Center Lead, and other Activity Center Specialists to maintain visual standards.
- Processes customer reservations and rental paperwork.
- Maintains customer and employee rental area by keeping the site clean and organized.
- Assists customers in the selection and use of rental equipment.
- Provide basic information on safety, weather, navigation, and equipment use.
- Welcome and engage customers in promoting rentals and the Co-op.
- Previous retail store, rental facility, or outdoor programs experience.
- First aid certification.
- Participates and partners with others on one's team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.
- Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions to support the direction taken by others at REI.
- Considers the ultimate impact of outcomes and actions on internal and external customers.
- Works smart by setting practical work goals, establishing priorities, and planning to produce quality work.
- Executes work by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and informing others of work plans and progress toward goals.
