S. market in their manufacturing industry.They are located in Auburn, AL and are currently seeking a skilled Die Casting Production Manager to join their team due to growth.
This role will involve overseeing the production of zinc die casting for various tonnage machines and ensuring the quality of the finished product.
The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting die equipment, managing a team, and implementing production plans. This is a day shift position with competitive salary, attractive benefits, and relocation assistance available.As the Die Casting Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the die casting department.
This includes ensuring the quality of production, managing employees, maintaining safety regulations, and monitoring daily production standards.Resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances with the help of management or subordinates.
Coordinate operations and activities with other supervisors and departments.
Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects within the department.
Maintain accurate time and attendance records using Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Analyze production documents and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current output.
Conduct inventory controls to ensure accuracy.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
Train new employees on equipment operations and work procedures.
Ensure operators conform to production standards.
In addition to the general responsibilities listed above, the Die Casting Production Manager may have additional department-specific duties as outlined below)
Die Cast:
(Reports to Plant Manager)
Adjust casting cycle times, die lubrication, and process parameters to ensure quality of castings. Supervise operation of all equipment including Die Cast Machines, Trim Presses, Laundry System, and Melting Furnace.
Analyze, organize, and plan production to meet customer needs.
Enter production data accurately in reports on a daily basis.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, audits, and initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve production-related issues and improve processes.
Document training events and ensure proper implementation within the department.
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HPDC (zinc, aluminum, or equivalent).
Three to five years of quality control experience in a die casting environment, including identifying rejects and determining root cause.
Three to five years of experience using MRP/ERP software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions and documents.
The work environment characteristics include a loud noise level in the manufacturing departments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
