Weil Tennis Academy & College Preparatory School is a WASC accredited boarding school for grade levels 7-12. Our students are junior tennis players interested in playing tennis at the collegiate level.

It is located in the beautiful Ojai Valley in Southern California, just 17 miles from the beach and minutes from mountains with great hiking trails.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Spanish 1-3 Teacher to join our team at Weil Tennis Academy and College Preparatory School.

As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in the Spanish language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.

This is a part-time position with competitive compensation.


Schedule:

• As a parttime Spanish 13 teacher, you will teach three 47minute class periods from Monday through Thursday each week. The school year begins on August 26th, 2024 and ends on May 28th, 202
• Pay includes three weeks off for Winter Break and two weeks off for Spring Break

Duties:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
• Teach Spanish language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Utilize creative teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance student learning
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials
• Provide academic advising and support to students as needed
• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in Spanish language instruction

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in the Spanish language
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative writing abilities for developing engaging lesson plans
• Knowledge of literacy education strategies for teaching reading and writing in Spanish
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong research skills for staying informed about current teaching methods and resources
• Organizational skills for planning lessons, grading assignments, and maintaining records
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Ability to provide academic advising and mentorship to students
