Beauty 2 The Streetz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a qualified and experienced Part-time Armed Security Guard to join our team.

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our staff, volunteers, clients, and resources during outreach events and activities.

Responsibilities:

Provide armed security services to protect Beauty 2 The Streetz personnel, assets, and facilities during outreach events, distribution activities, and other designated assignments.
Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to detect and deter unauthorized access, vandalism, theft, or other security threats.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to security breaches or suspicious activities promptly.
Enforce organization policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, volunteers, and clients.
Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or incidents as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security incidents, activities, and observations.
Conduct security screenings, bag checks, and other security measures as directed to prevent the introduction of contraband or prohibited items into Beauty 2 The Streetz facilities or events.
Provide assistance and support to staff, volunteers, and clients as needed, including directing individuals to appropriate resources or services.
Must be available on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

Valid California Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an armed security guard, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security, law enforcement, or related fields preferred.
Must possess excellent judgment, decisionmaking skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and/or patrol for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Commitment to the mission and values of Beauty 2 The Streetz and a passion for serving the homeless population.

Salary:
$20 - $25 per hour based on experience.
