Job Purpose

  • The executive assistant role will perform a variety of detailed and complex administrative tasks and support our company's executive members. The executive assistant's responsibilities include managing calendars, prioritizing activities, making travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, and supporting meeting setup. The position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, be organized, and provide insight with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
    Key Accountabilities
  • Support and prioritize activities for AHM HR executives on a daily basis, maintaining confidentiality when handling scheduling and communication. Handles daily and longrange calendar for multiple leaders. Identify potential conflicts and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Interface with AHM Business Units, HDMA Business Units, NA companies and Honda Motor Japan to coordinate business functions.
  • Coordinates travel plans and means of transportation for executives and makes changes quickly when required.
  • Prioritize action items and due dates, bringing key items to the executive's attention. Initiates necessary actions, e.g., followups, prioritizations, action required etc.
  • Support the Regional Planning division with setup of major meetings and communicate with business partners to coordinate executive visitor meetings.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including budgets, service awards administration, and meeting logistics.
  • Understanding of Honda's key activities and terminology; corporate policies and management guidelines.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred; Business or equivalent experience
  • 35 years' experience in support or business
  • Accurate, timely operational capability
  • Strong scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to work closely with many impacted parties
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Flexibility to adjust to dynamic environment
