Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team.
As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Preferably minimum 5 years experience installing low slope commercial roofs.Responsibilities:
1) Planning the job from the hand off from the Project Manager, from the beginning to the end.
Including transportation of materials, safety equipment, demolition, installation and clean-up and material documentation provided to the office manager for invoicing.
2) Coordinate loading of the required materials and equipment are available to perform work.3) Set-up of the materials and equipment and mobilization of the jobsite4) Removal and disposal of tear-off materials when applicable
5) Installation of new roofing systems and/or repairs. Knowing manufactures specifications and details
6) All aspects of safety during the job as well as the pre-job safety plan
7) Assure a watertight condition nightly, i,e; curb, repair, roof removal work, etc. until project completion.
8) Clean-up and demobilization at completion of the job, or at the end of the day, as appropriate and as directed
9) Accurately document all work before and after with photographs, notes, drawings (as needed) for the job and customer files.
10) Accurate recording of materials, equipment, all change orders and extra work, consumables and labor required to complete the job including photographs of the job and for job file.
11) Follow through with customers to assure we have met or exceeded their expectations.
12) All other duties as assigned.
13) Provide guidance and direction to construction workers and subcontractors
14)Monitor project progress, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with building codes and regulations
15) Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or potential risks
16)Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications:
1) Good knowledge of equipment, tools and materials used in low-slope roofing.
2) Ability to recognize occupational hazards and safe working practices.
3) Strong knowledge of math and to be able to read tapered layouts.
4) Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
5) Good communication, recordkeeping skills and writing skills.
6) Deal effectively and courteously with co-workers and the public.
7) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and our customers.
8) Ability to work the required hours of the position.
9) May be required to demonstrate minimum competency by successfully passing approved tests.
10) Strong ability to sell work and develop long term relationships with customers.
11) Prompt and regular attendance.
12)Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
13)Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
14) Excellent leadership and communication skills
15)Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
16)Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
