• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Analyze project requirements and develop detailed cost breakdowns
• Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools to create estimates
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing as needed
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bid packages
• Provide support to project teams during the construction phase as needed Skills:
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
• Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Ability to negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
• Familiarity with cost control techniques in construction projects
