The Market Intelligence Lead plays a key role in developing and optimizing a comprehensive procurement market intelligence strategy, including enhancing data sources and connections across the enterprise.
This role is responsible for identifying and addressing current and future needs for intelligence capabilities, innovating processes to maximize the value derived from market intelligence tools.
The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, drives deployment initiatives, and employs a specialized capabilities to maintain high-performance within the Market Intelligence sleeve.
- Lead, develop and implement a comprehensive procurement market intelligence and insight strategy, optimizing data sources, intelligence library, and data connections across the enterprise.
- Identify current and future needs for market intelligence and insight gathering capabilities, ensuring procurement functional partners are equipped with the necessary tools and platforms for datadriven decision making.
- Innovate processes and methodologies to create value through market intelligence tools and ensure the continued improvement and efficiency of access to industry insights including optimizing the balance between externally and internally sourced industry information.
- Provide Procurement Analytics and Market Intelligence lead and functional partners with ad hoc insights and analytical deliverables that can be shared with Procurement senior leadership to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics & Reporting teams to ensure insights are holistic and representative of broader Procurement function.
- Drive the deployment of market intelligence capabilities, overseeing projects and advocating for the adoption and utilization of digital tools and platforms to guide decisionmaking.
- Direct the governance of market intelligence processes, establishing maintenance routines, quality standards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing data accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain the necessary infrastructure for advanced market intelligence analytics, including data sources, libraries, and connections to digital tools such as dashboards.
- Regularly assess adoption and current needs of functional stakeholders for market intelligence capabilities, guiding the innovation of the product portfolio.
- Develop, maintain and expand relationships and network across peers, research partners and liaisons to ensure robust channels of industry insights and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related business or operations function.
- Experience in a data, research or market intelligence role gathering insights and building an effective product suite.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement, including direct materials and indirect sourcing, supplier management, contract lifecycle and financial management
- Strong capabilities in leading the development of advanced modeling and analytics, informing strategic procurement decisions.
- Strong capabilities in leading execution of complex projects, internal stakeholder management and influencing internal business and functional leaders
- Innovative problemsolving skills combined with a solutionoriented mindset, enabling creative approaches that challenge the status quo and clear communication at all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinking and accountability, assessing future business needs and owning analytical support.
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and leadership skills with demonstrated resourcefulness in accessing and gathering research/industry insights with an exceptional technical acumen
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
