- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks affecting the companys operations, assets, and reputation.
- Analyze risk data and reports to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and manage the companys insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage for all potential risks.
- Work with brokers and insurers to negotiate insurance terms, coverage, premiums, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to insurance and risk management.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to senior management on insurance coverage, risk exposure, and loss prevention.
- Manage the claims process, including filing claims, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with legal counsel as necessary.
- Track and analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Conduct risk management training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
- Prepare and present regular reports on risk exposure, insurance coverage, and claims to senior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance policies, claims, and risk assessments.
- Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CRM, CPCU) are highly desirable
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in insurance risk management, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of managing complex insurance programs and risk management initiatives.
