Overview:

Potential **responsibilities** of this position may include:

  • Develop plan of action and milestones (POA&M) with stakeholders
  • Manage POA&M
  • Organize and run improvement events
  • Support idea generation and documentation associated with initiating new projects
  • Preparation of materials for various programmatic reviews with NAVSEA stakeholders and EB upper management
  • Interfacing frequently with NAVSEA stakeholders to update project status and progress
  • Develop and analyze program metrics, identify issues, and oversee required corrective actions
  • Resolve funding issues within tasking to allow work to continue uninterrupted
  • Provide mentorship and guidance
  • Support strategy development for Enterprise Improvement
  • Develop and present recommendations for concurrence

The hiring department may request either work samples be provided or an assignment be completed in advance of an interview should you be selected to interview.

Qualifications:

Required:


  • Bachelors of Science or Arts in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related fields, or a high school degree and at least 3 years of experience in a relevant area
  • At least 3 years of experience in Program Office, Process Engineering, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Test or equivalent experience

Preferred:


  • 5+ years of experience in Program Office, Process Engineering, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Test or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting major construction evolutions or other relevant operations experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Training
  • Knowledge of management tools and EB business systems (i.e., Artemis, EVMS or other EB specific tools)

Skills:


  • Welldeveloped organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and orally
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fastpaced environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Tools (especially, Microsoft Excel)
  • Selfstarter capable of working both independently and in a team environment
  • Data analysis skills
  • Close attention to detail and revision control
  • Ability to prioritize work and run multiple, concurrent tasks and problem solve
  • Eagerness to learn
