Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments.

Your expertise in aseptic technique and sterile processing will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

Perform sterilization procedures on medical equipment and instruments following established protocols and guidelines
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and gas plasma sterilizers
Inspect and assemble instrument trays, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
Monitor and document sterilization processes, including time, temperature, and pressure readings
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies
Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and order replacements as needed
Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens
Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to sterilization processes

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in sterile processing preferred
Proven experience as a Sterilization Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting
Indepth knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Familiarity with sterilization equipment operation and maintenance procedures
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while adhering to strict protocols and guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
