    Description
    HTI has an immediate opening for a short-term contract Quality Lab Technician with an automotive supplier in Duncan, SC


    Hours:

    Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Contract length: 6 monthsPay rate: $ $30/hour, depending on experience Job duties: Plan and conduct complex tests and quality inspections.

    Maintain existing calibration records and gaging equipment validations. Prepare and maintain quality lab documentation and reports for test processes, test results, etc., taking into account customer-specific guidelines.

    Prepare equipment; set up tensile & compression testing machines, fall tower impact testing, operate and run vision system for layout results, climate chamber peel testing, etc.

    Address quality issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving methods. Create component group-related evaluations; document the results, recognize deviations. Performs all necessary gage studies including R&R studies.


    Requirements:
    Must have 2+ years of experience as a Quality Lab Technician, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry Must have high school diploma or equivalent ASQ Quality Certification (CMI, CQT, CQE) preferred Metrology lab/inspection tool experience Ability to read GD&T AIAG-MSA preferred Must have good computer skills and experience with MS Office software ISO/TS16949 experience preferred HTI and DAA are equal opportunity employers M/D/F/V/SOINDPRO
