    We are hiring a Construction Inspector to join our team

    Responsibilities:

    • Effectively communicate with client, contractors (builders), and team members
    • Inspect jobs per approved policies/procedures, plans, change orders, or revisions
    • Maintain positive relationships with all program participants
    • Coordinate the feedback as needed to all parties involved in the project, which include the contractors and Construction Manager
    • Provide timely notifications to Construction Manager of any schedule deviations
    • Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements and promptly report any unsafe conditions
    • Ensures project documents are completed, collected, and signed in a timely manner
    • Perform daily, weekly, monthly reporting and data collection duties as assigned by management team

    Required Skills and Certifications:

    • Minimum 5 years experience working on building/renovation projects
    • Knowledge/experience with reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure all work conforms to contract requirements
    • Written and verbal skills to communicate with project team members including preparing daily, weekly, monthly reports and document work completed, contractor issues, material delivery and installation
    • OSHA 30 hours certificate
    • Driver's license and own transportation
    • ASCE Grade I or NICET III or above
    • ACI concrete inspection certificate
    • NYC DDC water main training (preferred)
    • e-Builder experience a plus
    • MTA Track NYC Transit Track Safety Certification a plus
    • NYCHA Project experience a plus
    • Lead and Asbestos certification a plus

    Education:

    • Degree of Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management
