    Job Summary:

    The Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production processes and the achievement of production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in manufacturing operations, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Team Supervision:
      • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production workers.
      • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of team members.
      • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback.
    • Production Management:
      • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to production schedules.
      • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet production targets.
      • Ensure efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Quality Assurance:
      • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
      • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
      • Identify and address any issues affecting product quality.
    • Safety and Compliance:
      • Promote and enforce a safe work environment by following and ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations.
      • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
      • Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
      • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma projects.
      • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
    • Training and Development:
      • Provide training and guidance to team members on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
      • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and existing employees.
      • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
    • Reporting and Documentation:
      • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and quality issues.
      • Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance and team activities.
      • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with company policies.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
      • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.
    • Skills:
      • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
      • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
      • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
      • Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
    • Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

    Working Conditions:

    • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving materials.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
