TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:

  • Oversees the provision of and directly provides mental health services using evidenced based practices (individual, family, and group modalities) to Medi-Cal beneficiaries; carries a small case load of approximately 35 clients.
  • Works quickly to assign and open new referrals.
  • Delivers and/or supports the timely delivery and documentation of highquality services by self and others including direct reports.
  • Uses and oversees the use of all outcome tools in a timely manner; uses/supports others to use data from said tools to help inform service delivery.
  • Participates in the selection, hiring, training and management of clinicians/trainees/interns assigned to department.
  • Conducts yearly performance reviews of all direct reports including interns/trainees.
  • Provides individual and group consultation and oversight to help ensure quality of service delivery.
  • Maintains a positive and optimistic outlook/attitude even during periods of stress; Other practice principles to be incorporated into one's management style and activities include perseverance, strengths based, data driven, and collaborative.
  • Works in a solution focused manner to address items or situations of concern.
  • Provides leadership and oversight in the area of compliance (and/or development) with policies, procedures and documentation congruent with State and County requirements, and all regulatory agencies.
  • Works in compliance with accreditation standards; assists with reaccreditation activities as needed or asked.
  • Participates in grant or proposal writing as needed or asked.
  • Participates in internal and external Medi-Cal audits to help ensure that fraud, waste, and abuse do not occur.
  • Works collaboratively to meet departmental benchmarks, agency, and programmatic goals, and adheres to compliance standards and practices.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with partner agencies, county entities and consumers.
  • Promotes cultural awareness and competence within individual programs and the agency as a whole.
  • Supports the ongoing development of a service delivery system aligned with the Transformational Care Planning model adopted by Santa Clara County Maintains familiarity with current industry standards and develops training plans to ensure that clinicians are fully resourced to deliver highquality, evidencesupported service.
  • Oversees and directs clinicians and trainees/interns to high standards of service delivery, client satisfaction and accountability to best practice standards. Provides and/or procures required trainings and learning contracts to meet the ongoing clinical needs of the department.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of confidentiality policies, mandated child abuse reporting and duty to warn procedures.
  • Exercises appropriate stewardship of resources based on contract budgeted rates.
  • Keeps current on all trainings, continuing education units, licensure exams, and other pertinent items including managing the licensure processes (renewals etc.), reimbursement of expenses including mileage or client related expenses; supports direct reports in doing the same.
  • Remains up to date on all items associated with clinical licensure/registration; works to pursue licensure in an expeditious manner.
