Description

• Provide guidance and support to youth in a mentoring capacity
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized plans for youth
• Collaborate with probation office, such as social workers and educators, to ensure the wellbeing of the youth
• Help youth develop life skills and navigate challenges they may face
• Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the youth
• Create a safe and supportive environment for youth to express themselves
• Utilize conflict management techniques to address conflicts that may arise

• Experience working with teens, preferably in a special education, childcare, child welfare, or behavioral health setting
• Knowledge of child development and social work principles,
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to educate and mentor youth effectively
• Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with youth facing challenges
• Ability to establish boundaries while maintaining a supportive relationship with the youth
