Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of geologic research and economic geology principles and practices

Ability to plan and perform geologic investigations
Ability to interpret geologic data and communicate results to the public, industry, government agencies, and other interest groups
Ability to prepare and edit maps and manuscripts using personal computers in a Windows OS environment
Strong competency in geographic information system (GIS) software
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities, organize and prioritize workflow
Ability to work independently and as a team member and complete assignments within established timeframes
Ability to work in the field, navigate over rough terrain (i.e., stoop, crawl, and bend)
A valid driver's license with a good driving record

The individual accepted for employment will have to pass a drug test and successfully complete reference checks as part of the Virginia Energy pre-employment process.
