Job Overview:
Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning rooms and hallways in hotel by following service standards.


Reports to:
Housekeeping Management


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service assigned guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Greet any and all guests with a "Good Morning" (or afternoon, evening)
  • Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
  • Empties wastebaskets
  • Rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
  • Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests in accordance with the guest room legend
  • Leave the guest room in uniform arrangement as determined by the Executive Housekeeper and make sure the door is closed and the room is locked
  • Report any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas
  • Return any items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to the Housekeeping department as a lost and Found item and writing: the date, where it was found, description of the item, and the name of the person who found it
  • Clean all corridors and service areas
  • Respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping management team
  • Restock cart at end of shift and organize the linen closet to prepare for the next day
  • Other housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Must have flexible schedule including availability on weekends and holidays in between the hours of 10am6pm
  • Ability to maintain standard attendance expectation
  • Ability lift up and push/pull up to 50 lbs. plus stand, walk and move around during entire 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (English)
  • Must be able to respond to guest requests quickly and efficiently
  • Professional demeanor service oriented
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask, manage time and work well under pressure
  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • No prior experience required. Previous housekeeping experience within a luxury boutique hotel or resort is preferred
