    The Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP) is now recruiting for the position of Director of Philanthropic Giving. This position is responsible for the strategic envisioning, planning and implementation of the organization's overall philanthropic giving function. Duties include donor identification, research, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship while also supervising the philanthropic giving staff. At a managerial level, the Director of Philanthropic Giving serves as a strategist for the organization in conjunction with other Directors and the Senior Management team. Additionally, the incumbent creates and evaluates annual fundraising strategic plans and corresponding annual budgets for the department and fundraising events and provides support for the Chief Relationship Officer. In addition, the incumbent maintains a donor portfolio and manages donor relations for key corporate and individual funders. The incumbent will be responsible for: 1) portfolio management, 2) daily oversight of Philanthropic Giving department, 3) moves management and gift planning and 4) tracking and monitoring key performance indicators and 5) planning and executing department events. Additionally, the incumbent works in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement strategic communications which influence the overall capacity to raise funds in addition to the Director of Community Relations to plan and execute on successful fundraising events as well as engaging volunteer opportunities for partners.

    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Develop and implement a plan for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding an adequate portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation prospects and donors capable of contributing to INHP to reach the annual goal for fundraising.
    • Develop the annual Fundraising Plan that outlines department goals, key performance indicators, events, campaigns and timelines associated with executing the strategies.
    • Foster collaboration with the Marketing team to support needs of fundraising events and campaigns.
    • In conjunction with the Chief Relationship Officer, support the organizational goals for programs and services through raising funds and seeking capital.
    • Track the effectiveness of fundraising events, campaigns and appeals and make changes as necessary to reach fundraising goals.
    • Maintain a portfolio of active donors and prospects focusing on actively meeting with donors.
    • Develop strategies that maintain and grow donor capacity.
    • Develops and executes department policies and procedures.
    • Manages the Philanthropic Giving department and staff.
    • Supervises prospect research, donor stewardship, information systems and gift solicitation initiatives.
    • Monitor daily cash receipts and monthly financial, key performance indicators and constituent tracking reports.
    • Attend meetings and sponsored events that are strategic to relationship building.
    • Attend and participate and provide reports quarterly to the Board of Directors Advancement and Communications committee.
    • Facilitate internal and external vendor and partnership meetings.
    • Responsible for planning and executing Community Breakfast and Trivia Night events, as well as leading sponsorship solicitation.
    • Oversee department stewardship initiatives and events.
    • Explore and develop initiatives that support planned giving strategies and recognition.
    Qualified candidates for this position must possess:
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field or study; graduate degree preferred.
    • Previous experience managing a funds development staff preferred.
    • A minimum of five years of successful fundraising experience.
    • Must have a proven track record in 1) face to face solicitation and 2) annual giving and donor retention strategies.
    • Previous experience working with a non-profit Board of Directors.
    • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential preferred.
