    Are you a Metallurgy Manager seeking mentorship from an experienced VP in a specialized metals industry, with a clearly defined succession path to assume full VP responsibilities upon their planned retirement later this year?

    This is a rare succession-planning opportunity within a long-established metal manufacturing business that continues to grow and expand into new markets. You will be mentored one-on-one by a highly experienced VP, learning the operation end-to-end while taking on managerial and strategic responsibility.

    The company is a metal manufacturer with over 100 years of history, known for long employee tenure, strong internal promotion, and a collaborative corporate culture. They invest heavily in training and are committed to developing future leaders from within.

    In this role, you will start as the technical authority for metallurgy and materials, while leading a 12 person team, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making. Long term, this position is designed to evolve into a VP-level role as the business continues to scale.

    This role would suit a Metallurgy Manager looking to join a long-term specialist metal manufacturer, learn from an industry expert, and have the opportunity to progress to VP level.

    The Role:

    • Act as the senior technical authority for metallurgy, alloys, and materials processing
    • Work directly alongside the current VP (retiring June) as part of a structured succession plan
    • Responsible for manufacturing operations, people leadership, and process oversight
    • Support alloy development, process improvements, and technical problem-solving for internal and external customers
    • Manage and develop a small, skilled team of machinists and technicians

    The Person:

    • Background in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Metals Manufacturing
    • Manager or Senior Engineer with strong leadership qualities
    • Motivated by mentorship, succession planning, and building a long-term career within one business
