    Description
    Production Planning SupervisorSUMMARYThe Production Planning Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the organization's manufacturing plants and suppliers. This includes the planning, communicating, and execution of the production schedule.

    Is proactive in collaboration with inside and outside stakeholders in achieving performance objectives manufacturing effectiveness, on-time customer delivery, and inventory accuracy.

    Ensures that projects, goals, and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed period and funding parameters by performing the duties listed below.

    As a member of the operations team, the Production Planning Supervisor is expected to:


    • Lead by example to support the company's culture, values, and policies.
    • Collaboratively work with other functional disciplines to support a culture of accountability, mutual respect, and teamwork.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as neededo Develops and manages the production schedule.

    Considering the customers desire for shipment along with the current schedule and available capacity due to lead-time availabilityo Communicates the production schedule to Sales and Customer Care for the next available date on future orders considering lead-times and production capacitieso Produces work orders for the factory with quantities and dates that meet the scheduleo Responsible for the WIP inventory quantities and dollar valuesKPI RESPONSIBILITIESo Inventory Turns, Inventory Dollarso On-time DeliveryOTHER RESPONSIBILITIESo Maintains accuracy of production data in the ERP system (Epicor)o Confers with Plant Manager to determine status of assigned projectso Communicates status of production schedule with Plant Manager in order to develop plans when expediting is needed to get operations back on scheduleo Analyzes & prepares production status reportso Challenges traditional paradigms and uses creativity to improve the manufacturing processo Assists Engineers for pre-production planning of new productsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES o Directly supervises production planners.

    o Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company leadership policies.

    o Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
