Position Overview

The Communications Specialist will play a role in managing and supporting of the company's social media and brand content and collateral strategies.

The role covers a broad range of tactical deliverables supporting Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Patient Advocacy initiatives. This is a contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.


Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
  • Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website
  • Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
  • Create marketing materials such as pitch books, investor profiles, and investment team bios
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events for the firm
  • Prepare and edit reports, correspondence, and presentations
  • Collaborate with external vendors, including PR firms and web teams
  • Support special projects and adhoc tasks as needed

Qualifications and Experience

The following is _required_ for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
  • A minimum of one year professional experience in investor relations, marketing, or corporate communications roles, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

The following is _preferred_ for this role:

  • Cross-functional communications experience
- investor relations, advocacy, and PR

  • Experience with relationship management is preferred
  • Collaborative, resourceful, meticulous, and able to manage projects across multiple programs, deadlines and stakeholder groups
