Responsibilities

A Physician Assistant (PA) collaborates with physicians providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services. PAs work in hospitals, clinics, and physician offices, playing a key role in improving patient outcomes and healthcare efficiency.

Perform patient evaluations, recommend interventions, and collaborate with physicians.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement.
Contribute to multidisciplinary care plans.
Gather patient history and conduct physical examinations.
Complete documentation and discharge summaries.
Conduct patient rounds and outpatient clinic visits.
Coordinate with physicians on patient education and treatment.
Prescribe medications following regulations.
Monitor therapeutic effectiveness and make referrals when needed.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Rotate call for after-hours coverage.

Employees at Dignity Health can benefit from an Education Assistance program offering debt relief and student loan assistance. Full-time staff can receive up to $18,000 over five years, part-time staff up to $9,000.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in relevant field.

Bachelor's Degree.

Arizona Physician Assistant certification.

Physician Assistant degree.

Specialized training in specific diseases.

PA-C certification.

DEA:AZ license.

PA:AZ license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's in Physician Assistant Studies.

Pay Range
$86.79 per hour.
