    Job Posting Title:
    Dean, School of Pharmacy

    Job Description:

    Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy will lead efforts to continue in the school's tradition of innovative teaching, learning, research, scholarship, and patient/client-centered care. The Dean will lead multidisciplinary efforts to cooperate with community organizations and systems delivering direct patient care. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly collaborative, forward-thinking, enthusiastic leader to inspire a tightly knit community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni and to guide the school as it fulfills its commitment to excellence in education, developing creative and effective leaders dedicated to ethical conduct, inter-professional collaboration and service to others. The Dean will oversee the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program housed within the School of Pharmacy.

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) was founded in 1997 as the first higher education institution in the United States dedicated exclusively to education and research related to the applied life sciences. KGI has grown over the past 25 years to offer innovative postgraduate degrees and certificates integrating life and health sciences. The institution is divided into three schools: the Henry E. Riggs School of Applied Life Sciences (Riggs), the School of Pharmacy (SOP), and the School of Health Sciences (SHS). The Riggs School focuses on business, regulatory affairs, device and diagnostic engineering, biomanufacturing, and clinical trials. The School of Health Sciences includes a Master of Science in Physician Associate Studies, a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling, and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. The School of Pharmacy, home to the Doctor of Pharmacy program, began in 2013. KGI employs an entrepreneurial approach to promoting solid connections within the life sciences and healthcare sectors. It provides pathways for students to become involved in hands-on, real-world, and team-based projects to prepare them to be leaders in healthcare and the applied life sciences. The enrollment of KGI is around 650 full-time students, enabling a close community of scholars with shared goals and vision. KGI is incredibly proud of the employment outcomes for our graduates - approaching 100% within a short time after leaving

Located in beautiful Claremont, California, Keck Graduate Institute is a member of the Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five undergraduate liberal arts colleges, two graduate institutions, and The Claremont Colleges Services, which provides shared institutional support. The Claremont Colleges consistently place at the top of national college rankings, including Forbes, Money and U.S., World Report, and the Princeton Review. Each nationally recognized college has its campus, students and faculty, and distinctive mission, and each offers top-notch curricula, small classes, distinguished professors, and personalized instruction. A host of shared resources - such as a library, health services, benefits management, and chaplaincy -- provide KGI students and faculty with the infrastructure of a larger, more comprehensive institution.
