Administrative Assistant


SUPERVISOR:

POSITION GOAL:
To provide a well-organized, efficient office to benefit administration team, students, staff, and the public.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:
High school diploma or equivalent


Certification:
N/A


Experience:
Prior secretarial and computer experience


Criminal Record Check:
Required per NH RSA 189:13-a

Pre-Employment Medical Exam:
Required per NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3


EVALUATION:
Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Facilitate office operations.
  • Greets all persons entering facility, following District safety and security procedures.
  • Answers telephones, answers parents' questions and/or forwards calls/messages in a professional manner
  • Perform office functions to include, but not limited to, setting up and maintaining files, correspondence, student and staff lists, mail distribution, purchase orders and general typing and data entry.
  • Maintain student records and database and produce reports as needed.
  • Assist administrator with the budget, purchasing, and inventory of supplies as directed.
  • Monitor student behavior in the office when necessary.
  • Prepare payroll timesheets and distribute payroll checks.
  • Facilitate school-wide operations.
  • Schedule substitutes and assist substitutes with paperwork process and school procedures.
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings and record meeting minutes as needed.
  • Maintain building calendar and make necessary arrangements for school events as needed.
  • Assist in arrangement of field trips including paperwork, funds, student lists, etc.
  • Insure safety and/or supervision of students.
  • Maintain awareness of legal restrictions in regard to student custody issues.
  • Respond to student and staff situations including emergencies.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative, cooperation, dependability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Follow guidelines of confidentiality as established by the school district.
  • Attend and participate in relevant training sessions, meetings, and professional growth activities as requested/required.
  • Perform in a professional manner when interacting with students, parents, faculty, administration, and co-workers.

START DATE:
School Year


SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, 261 days per year


PAY:
$20.15/hour to $20.69/hour
