The Wandsbek District Office (4 departments, 15 specialist offices, approx. employees) is a service provider and contact point in the district. The Department of Social Area Management is responsible, among other things, for the services of open children and youth work. In addition to municipal facilities, which also include youth houses, the department also takes on the professional management of services provided by independent organizations.

The Hill City Youth House Steilshoop is located in the newly completed neighborhood center on the Steilshoop campus.
